Webmail gone wonky again?

I have now been sat here 8 minutes waiting for one of my mail accounts to open in webmail. There is ONE message on the server for me, and nothing else.
Anyone else having this issue? The only time I use it is when I wish to report a spam message, and I have noticed it getting more lethargic the last two or three times I've had need to open it, but usually it opens, the lethargy really kicking in when I ask it to carry out a function.
TONIGHT it will not even open the inbox.

Wasn't sure whether to add a post to this thread or start a new topic. Anyway, I've decided to add a post because the subject of Webmail's performance has been discussed before; indeed, a thread has already been archived and "pinned" if that's the right expression!!
Needless to say, my recent experience has been that Webmail is slowing down again. Whatever was done to speed it up last time, could that be executed once again. VMTs

How slow @Boz ? I only ever use it to report the occasional spam message, so don't notice its performance - the original post was the last time I needed it, and at that time it was well and truly broken.

Not sure that I can answer that, John. If I don't reach the Inbox within 10 seconds, I usually close the window and try later. I don't have your patience to sit in front of an inactive screen for 8 minutes!!

Fair enough - although I wasn't sat watching it, I went elsewhere. 😉
On the odd times I use it, it appears to be almost instantaneous, but then I have almost nothing on the mail server, apart from the few messages that arrived since the last time I downloaded them to my mail client.
I have never relied on webmail, always used a client.

Unfortunately, I do depend on Webmail, and I try to keep the Inbox clear of messages, if I can, by using personal folders, to save important emails. My experience recently of "the slowing down of Webmail" and your "waiting 8 minutes" must be down to Plusnet. They've solved it before and should be able to do so again.

My experience was a one-off, and 'keeping the Inbox clear of messages' does not alter the size of your account on the server, it merely keeps your 'view' of the Inbox tidy.
However, as I don't see a mass of complaints re webmail - at the moment - it must be working to most peoples satisfaction.

I'm still finding emails taking a long time to load. Are you sure that there are no other complaints?

If there were - online - I would have spotted them.

Hi Curtis
No I haven't seen any errors. In what form would they appear?
I'm still encountering a "slowing-down" when waiting for the Inbox to load; and also when selecting emails to read.

Thanks for getting back to me, the error you normally see if a fetch one which comes up in a red box. You'd notice it if it popped up so that's good it hasn't.
Are you seeing the mailbox being slow on more than one device? Can you also clear cookies and caches, try again and see if you're still seeing same.

Hi Curtis
I'm replying again to your email because I've just encountered an error message. It wasn't on the screen long enough, but it was something like "Server failure: Failed to send FETCH command". Does that make any sense?
