Webmail

Hello, i login to webmail with my username and password. Web mail only shows me mailbox name1+username. In the past i used postmaster+username as a redirect from another account, how do i access this. Webmail settings/identities shows me name1+username and name2+username but I can't see a way of toggling between the two mailboxes? Hope someone can help. I feel i have a confirmation email in a spam folder somewhere. Thanks

Re: Webmail

You "chose" which mailbox you want to access when you log into here https://webmail.plus.net

  • accountname and password gives you the default mailbox
  • accountname+mailboxname and password gives you other mailboxes

The webmail interface gives access to only ONE MAILBOX at a time ... what INDENTIES the webmail interface might have associated with that mailbox, only impacts the appearance of the SENT FROM email address - that has NO RELEVANCE to the identity of the mailbox being accessed.

MAILBOXES and INDETITIES (in the context of the webmail interface) are NOT the same.

Nor for that matter are email ADDRESSES and EMAILBOXES the same.

Re: Webmail

Thanks for your reply. When I try to login with username+postmaster I get a fail. I've only ever had one password.

Re: Webmail

Postmaster is an alias of the default account - just use username.

Note that an alias is not the same as a secondary mailBOX nor an identity.
