I am a new user so I hope it is all right to change the subject slightly towards My problem rather than starting a new thread?
Title Why won't Outlook show all messages in a webmail folder?
I had my webmails archived earlier this year (I deserved it for not paying attention).
The emails were restored quite quickly, but some were visible to Outlook and some were not.
I have created a TEST Folder on Plusnet server into which I moved one of each type: one recent and visible in Outlook,
and the other from before the archiving event and invisible to Outlook. In webmail I can see both, but in Outlook I can only see the recent one.
How can I get Outlook to see both messages, so I can archive them locally.
Have I missed a setting somewhere?
I could send screen prints if that would be useful.

@ERobertR Just FYI - it is not a good idea to 'piggy-back' others topics, especially when they are marked as 'Fixed', but in any case it is bad etiquette, and technically against forum rules

Try doing the following.
1. Right click on the mail box in OL select IMAP Folders and resync them
2. Do a forced refresh and give it time.
3. Look at the mail items in the webmail client and see if there are any chunky emails - if there are, increase the server timeout setting to 2 minutes
4. Try setting the root folder for the mail box to inbox
What errors are reported by OL?
In another browser tab, login into the Plusnet user portal BEFORE clicking the fault & ticket links

It turns out that the problem was nothing to do with my transactions having been archived and restored, but simply because they were filtered out by Outlook for being too old.
Once I accepted that, I found the following instruction for Outlook Settings through google:
"Go to File > Account Settings. In the Account Settings window that opens, select your email account and click Change. Under Download email for the past, pull the slider all the way to the right, and then click Next. Click Done.2 Jun 2021"
