Hi folks. I'm a new customer to plusnet. Broadband working ok but I cannot get my email to work.
Been on the video tutorial and according to it after I click 'My Account' the Email menu should appear in the top left hand corner.
Firstly there is no 'My Account' to click on.
So tried the alternative method of typing in the web address https://webmail.plus.net/ . The login comes up and using my login username and password that I use for my plusnet acccount. It says it doesn't recognise my login details. Anybody out there can help me please.
Thanks,
Keith.

Hi Keith
Email hasn't been included with new accounts for quite a long time now, which will likely be why you can't get it working.
Superusers are not staff, but they do have a direct line of communication into the business in order to raise issues, concerns and feedback from the community.

Thanks for the quick response. I must admit I really didn't think to check whether email came with a plusnet account and just thought it was a normal addon for all broadband providers. More fool me I suppose and perhaps wouldnt have joined Plusnet if I'd known this. However the broadband up to now has been good so far and the speed is what it says it is. I use gmail now most of the time now. More for the fact that it's permanent and dont have to worry about changing email addresses when moving providers.
Thanks again,
Keith.

No problem Keith. Very few (if any) ISPs include it now for new customers. Plusnet was one of the last (at least of the bigger suppliers) to be offering it.

Which is very much the best reason for NOT using an ISP provided email service.
Back in the days when customers were loyal, having their email tied to / provided by the broadband supplier was not that much of an issue. However when users became annual butterflies ... they then ran in to the exact problem you describe!
You might though ask yourself, "What does a data mining company like Google do with all of your email?". Nothing is ever really free!
In another browser tab, login into the Plusnet user portal BEFORE clicking the fault & ticket links

Is the same question relevant to a Microsoft account? Or as it is associated with a "paid for" service, Microsoft 365, in my case do we expect them to be more respectful of my data?
Is the data I store on OneDrive private or data mined?

Fair question, though unlike Google or Yahoo, Outlook's prime business purpose is not data mining.
