I've got the same problem here. I've only checked one of my email accounts but can access it ok via Webmail, no joy with POP connections

Definitely getting timeouts to imap.plus.net

Webmail doesn't work fine for me, nor does "Service Status" on the Help menu.

Likewise for imap.plus.net

Not tried Webmail.

Same here.

I can send POP3 emails but can't receive them.

As you say, webmail works fine.

Internet OK (apart from plusnet service status page).

Router shows no break in service, but weirdly at first google didn't know I was in UK - the logo was in colour not the grey "mourning"  version that UK IP addresses get.

[aol]

Me too on pop3 !

Also DNS is up and down like a fiddler's elbow and has been for an hour or so Sad

And even 'service status' is apparently most reluctant to do anything at all other than just sit there for a dog's age pretending to load. Not a good sign on a Friday afternoon is it Sad

Hi all.

Some customers are experiencing problems accessing their emails and accounts in Plusnet Member Centre and connecting to their broadband service.

We are working quickly to resolve this.

Sorry for the inconvenience caused.

Ditto.

nothing from imap.force9.net since before 9am and can’t ping it but webmail is working and showing lots of newer emails.

And  https://plusnet.servicestatus.net/ seems to be down too so no idea if PN are aware or not.

Re: getting timeouts to pop and imap servers, webmail works fine though

Seems to be ok now, thanks Lauren.

It would be helpful if Plusnet could be more proactive about notifying customers of problems.

Maybe the Service Status page could actually be used to give that info? I don't recall it ever actually reporting any open or resolved issues ...
