AFAIK PlusNet no longer provide any domain hosting, so I am confused as to how you've managed to do that.

What have you done to attempt the transfer ?

Re: 123-Reg domain transfer to PlusNet

I already have a domain hosted with them so I transferred the DNS and IPSTag over to them using the 123-reg website, basically followed the 123-reg instructions.

Re: 123-Reg domain transfer to PlusNet

Ah! , that's not going to work!. Changing the IPSTAG does not in itself transfer the domain hosting, the receiving host needs to be expecting the transfer and have confirmed the hosting. I'm pretty sure that PlusNet will not accept new domains for hosting, even though you have an existing domain. Certainly without them confirming that they will host the domain beforehand, any transfer to them is not possible.

Re: 123-Reg domain transfer to PlusNet

Are you wanting to host the domain for email and/or website ?

I can suggest reasonable cost alternatives if you would like.

Re: 123-Reg domain transfer to PlusNet

No problem.

I use both Ecohosting and Mythic Beasts for my domains but for email only. Both are UK based and pretty responsive to support requests.

Ecohosting is more cost effective if you just need email. Mythic is better for combined web hosting and email. Ecohosting uses the standard CPanel for configuration whereas Mythic uses their own tools.  Mythic will support multiple domains on all account levels whereas you need higher tier (expensive) accounts with Ecohosting.

Some links

https://www.ecohosting.co.uk/hosting.html

https://www.ecohosting.co.uk/email.html

https://www.mythic-beasts.com/hosting ( if you pay quarterly or annually its slightly cheaper )

Hope that's useful. Shout up if youve got any questions
