until the ISP's system could be updated to use UPRN or BBEU ?
The plusnet members centre "Manage Account" includes the BBEU number
EDIT: It would be handy if the fault reporting bot used the BBEU as the mobile phone number seems to fail

"So I guess that my line is now truly SoGEA."
And how long did it take from application until this happened?

526 days !
From the moment I placed my order to move my landline phone number to VoIP was about a week, in August 2023.
Once my phone became VoIP, my previously FTTC line, appears to have stayed as FTTC but with a different phone number which had no voice service.
Then on 10th January I received 14 days notice to say my broadband was being converted to SOGEA.
On 24th January, my line rebooted overnight, and the BT Availability Checker no longer recognised the phone number or ALID.

That sounds like the way A & A provisioned their lines when customers had their voip service prior to SoGEA being available
Then on 10th January I received 14 days notice to say my broadband was being converted to SOGEA.
and that's why the notice, there was already no voice service on the line, so converting to SoGEA made no difference to the customer. It did probably reduce A & As costs though!.
I suspect that's a fairly unique situation, I'm not aware of any other ISPs who provisioned FTTC without a voice service.

HPsauce reported a similar situation when his Plusnet ADSL was converted to A&A VoIP -
@HPsauce wrote:
I terminated the old ADSL service, transferred the phone number to VOIP (with A&A) and totally ceased the original line. Oddly it still has a dial tone and a (different) number allocated, though it won't make or receive calls other than engineer tests.

Why is that, do you know? When I tested this a few weeks ago, using my mobile phone alone, it worked.

In another browser tab, login into the Plusnet user portal BEFORE clicking the fault & ticket links

Possibly, @Dan_the_Van , although I'm not going looking for the examples I have encountered - they are a while back and not that common.😀
Having said that, they do exist.

There are examples of you saying
"The above assumes you still have 'normal' landline connection - if you have a SOGEA (internet only) one the only option is to call Plusnet - 0330 123 9123"
about the fault report bot

That is a 'copy and paste' response written (or amended) when SOGEA was becoming a 'thing', and was definitely true when it started. You and I both know how 'efficient' PN can be at adapting to change.
I stand by it even now, although there are reports of it working.
