@mechanic123  No, I am not disagreeing with the quote from the A&A site as it is perfectly correct in the context of the "renumber and export" process where a Broadband service is being transferred to A&A and the number ported to VOIP but it is not relevant and does not apply to the right to port a ceased number to VOIP as it is a completely different procedure.

There's an 'only' word in the A&A statement that seems to be clear enough.  Maybe some users on here who have done this transfer can report their success?

Re: Broadband and virtual Landline

@mechanic123  I have stated in my previous 2 posts that your quote from the A&A website is irrelevant when considering porting ceased numbers to VOIP but you do not seem to be convinced.

Maybe this will change your mind, since the stop sell on copper phone services last September certainly for VDSL2 services it is no longer possible to migrate combined Broadband with Phone to another provider, you can only go to SOGEA with no phone service so the renumber and export  process is no longer available hence the A&A quote is obsolete. There may be different rules or exceptions for  ADSL connections such as SOADSL and SOTAP but I'm not sure if even Openreach are too sure how they will work.

I did state that I have seen posts confirming that a fair number of forum members have successfully ported their numbers to A&A VOIP.

Doubt you will convince him though, @RealAleMadrid  - despite numerous successes being reported on here.

To satisfy @mechanic123's doubting curiosity over the word 'only', I believe only 100% of members porting their number to A&A within the time period allowed have been successful.  Cheesy
