Hi @Gvu6dotcom and welcome to the Plusnet fora.

I doubt any Openreach engineers or their contractors would make good what Virgin have left but, in general, Openreach do an excellent job on their installs.

What ever supplier you go for, if not Virgin or similar cable company, will get the same Openreach engineers.

Ok then I assume I can remove all this mess and order fibre as if I never had internet at home they would be obliged to install it properly anyway if it’s as you say (they would come and just do easy job leaving unpleasant sight to paying customer)

@Gvu6dotcom If you want to remove the Virgin 'mess' as you call it, you should, in the first instance, contact them and ask them to do it, as it is their equipment, but if they seem disinterested, you could do it yourself - I doubt OR would touch anything that isn't theirs.

Yes that’s why I wanted to contact plusnet but since they not offer chat I cannot show them picture and have clear answer. I hope I can get answer from plusnet representative tomorrow

Plusnet will tell you exactly what I have just said - OpenReach will not touch another comms providers infrastructure.

Re: Can plusnet help remove this virgin media mess?

@Gvu6dotcom Hi there, If you are looking into choosing us to be your new provider, we would get Openreach out for the full fibre installation and i can safely say they'd do a better job than what Virgin have done judging from the images you've provided.

As that line is owned by Virgin, Openreach wont touch it. Your best bet to get that cleared up and removed is to file a complaint with Virgin regarding it so they can rectify this situation for you.

Failing that, if virgin are reluctant to sort it, it may have to be something you endeavour to do yourself.

All the best

You never know @jab1 , they might be up for a bit of weeding while they're at it! Cheesy

Hello thanks for reply. I contacted vm and not sure if they understood me but customer advisor booked appointment for me to “bury cables in”.

When engineer attends I’ll explain situation hopefully he/she will be able to help.

@Gvu6dotcom

If Virgin don't sort things out how about contacting the press. The following is a story about a delay in install but at the end there is a contact for Mark Jackson. Send him a note of your tale along with the pictures. He might be interested.
