Re: Can't enable static IP

I think it may have worked mate - I just bounced the interface on our firewall, and got assigned a new IP address in a completely different range - 51.x.x.x

Re: Can't enable static IP

@IanRLowe - That promising I just can't be 100% as the information isn't showing on my end to 100% confirm it's been assigned dynamically or static so keep an eye out to see if it changes and if it does let us know.

Re: Can't enable static IP

@James30  - so, I have bounced the interface a couple of times, and it's getting the same IP address each time.

I'll give it a day or so then start pointing DNS at it etc.

as a side question, do we need to do anything specific to make sure that the Static IP is not included in PLUS Net's "No Servers" declaration? I still host a legacy mail server, and would rather not be ORBLed every few weeks...

Re: Can't enable static IP

Twenty hours ago it changed (and humped my VPN link between home and office, naturally).

I have a ticket raised for this now/again - come on plus net. Static IP address allocation isn't hard...

Re: Can't enable static IP

AFAIK the static IP range starts 212 - so anything else its probably dynamic.

I'm afraid that's not correct, there are multiple static IP ranges.

I believe the original ones are in the 80.229.x.x range (mine certainly is!) but I'm fairly sure that there are some 51. & 31. ranges

This https://ipinfo.io/AS6871 lists the various PN IP ranges , although doesnt define their usage

Re: Can't enable static IP

I am having the same issue, just activated today, and it wont let me activate static IP, even though it has been paid for prior to going live.
