Changing Hostname on Static IP

Just tidying things up after my recent full fibre upgrade and moving phone to Voip.

Is it still possible to get the rDNS hostnane changed on my existing static IP address. Just ran GRC's Shileds up and noted that the hostname reveals the account name?  For example for the rDNS to be changed from the <accountname>.plus.com to <ipaddress>.plus.com to hide the account name.

Regards,

David

@Deembe it is!. Hopefully one of the PN staff will be along shortly to confirm the change ?

The options are <ipaddress>.plus.com OR if you have your own domain and have an A record pointing to the static IP, then the rDNS can be set to your A record.

Re: Changing Hostname on Static IP

Ah that would be very useful. Whilst I do have my own domain it isn't linked to that address so the <ipaddress> option would be fine.

Thanks for your swift reply.
