Changing hostname on static IP

I see from other posts that it is possible to change the hostname that is made public on a static IP.  Currently it is my Plusnet username but I'd like to have something more anonymous such as my IP address.  I spoke to customer support but they denied knowledge of this.  Can anyone help to implement this change please?  Thanks.

@Tina11192 I think you may have misinterpreted the OPs request - they are asking for their rDNS record to be changed from  <username>.plus.com to <ipaddress>.plus.com
