Curious observation ! 

Just tried, for a second day running, ringing the COT line (0800 013 2632) and a couple of other Plusnet numbers from my landline (VOIP) which resulted the usual press 1, 2, or 3.

However, pressing any of them resulted in an endless loop of press 1, 2, or 3!

I assumed the line was either closed or it was some kind of a temporary glitch since the system was responding to key presses. In a lightbulb moment I tried again using a mobile – success at the first attempt !

In betweentimes I rang the doctors and the local pharmacy from my VOIP line both of which have multiple choice options with no problems at all, so it would seem my actual phone is OK?

I know of a few of people who don’t or won’t have mobiles and at least one of them has Plusnet so……………

Is it me or has anybody else experienced this? If so I wonder if BT or Sky’s ‘digital voice’ works OK.

I'd suggest that the reference to "award winning" and "phone" in the recorded message is something that is now living on borrowed time.
