I am trying to construct a backup power supply for my Hub One.
This thread https://community.plus.net/t5/Everything-else/Looking-to-extend-power-supply-of-my-router-but-DC-con... says that the DC connector has 5.5mm outer diameter and 3.1mm inner diameter, which agrees with measurements I've made on the existing power supply connector.
I have searched high and low but can't find that combination (5.5/3.1) on any supplier's website. 3.1mm inner diameter seems to be the oddity, and it usually comes with a 6.3mm outer diameter, not the 5.5mm that the router socket needs.
Has anyone managed to source a DC female plug that will connect to the Hub One power socket?
Many thanks.
Fixed! Go to the fix.

Your easiest option might be to buy a complete Plusnet Hub One ot BT Home Hub 5 from an auction site and butcher the power supply. They sell for very little money.

@Baldrick1 Good idea - and might as well use the BT Home Hub in place of the atrocious Plusnet Hub One while I'm at it! 🙂

The Plusnet Hub One is a rebadged BT Home Hub 5a with tweeked firmware.
If you want something better but still cheap from an auction site then get a BT Smarthub or Smarthub 2
