I stand corrected. Presumably this is in preparation for the PSTN switch off for Plusnet customers who want to keep a combined phone/internet service.

I'm corrected even more! I too have been invited to apply for this exciting opportunity to transfer to EE! It's called a trial but at the end you remain an EE customer at the same price as you are now paying for the remains of your contract.
Like @pjmarsh, I am a registered BT trialist.

Likewise , and its definitely related to being a previous trialist. I use different email aliases for each site I'm registered with and this 'invite' was to my BT trials email.
Superusers are not staff, but they do have a direct line of communication into the business in order to raise issues, concerns and feedback from the community.

I, too, got the invite and am a previous trialist.

From recent posts, I get the impression that the intention, therefore, is to close the Plusnet brand by stealth.

Given the farces reported in the link in post #5, I hope one of those 'invited' to the 'trial' are inclined to accept.

Some customers who are registered to our trials centre have received an email about a trail to move existing BT and EE customers onto New EE packages. Plusnet customers are not suitable for this trial, and this would be identified as part of the registration process. Sorry for any confusion caused by this.
Plusnet remains focused on providing our customers with straightforward broadband at straightforward prices and is not closing.

@DJMcKenzie87 Try out what? The trial that isn't suitable for Plusnet Customers?
