End of BT Sport confusion

Just had email informing that PN are ending BT sports but the end dates are confusing, the email says from 5th of July but the FAQ link says it's ending from 23rd of May.

Any idea which date is correct ?

Re: End of BT Sport confusion

Fix

Hi @djh22

Sorry for the confusion! The FAQ is suggesting that, from tomorrow, customers will no longer be able to order BT Sport. From the 5th July, the service will then be discontinued.

I hope this helps. Smiley

From 31st October 2022, I no longer have a regular presence here as I’ve moved on to a new role.

Re: End of BT Sport confusion

Thanks Gandalf, I should have guessed that, anyway it means I can watch the Rugby on Saturday. 😀.. Then I can get it cancelled and hopefully save a months payment.

Any chance you could raise a ticket please ?

Cheers.

Re: End of BT Sport confusion

Thanks Willcutforth,I'll do that but I'm just wondering if you could cancel it now from the date I've paid up to ie 1st of June, or is it cancelled with immediate effect if we do it now ?

Re: End of BT Sport confusion

It's usually cancelled within 48 hours and you are refunded for what you didn't use, so I'd prefer to do it after Sat!

Re: End of BT Sport confusion

Hello again Will, just to let you know that I have decided to request that BT Sport is cancelled as soon as possible rather than waiting until after Saturdays Rugby cup final and have completed the on line ticked accordingly.

Many thanks for your help.

Best wishes.

Re: End of BT Sport confusion

The good value BT Sport App add-on was the only reason I renewed my Plusnet broadband contract! The fact it's being removed mid-contract and I can't cancel without paying a penalty is really galling.

Re: End of BT Sport confusion

Yes me too. It was part of a negotiated package when I renewed contract recently. I guess there's small print, there usually is, but I'm no longer getting what I signed up for.

Re: End of BT Sport confusion

Oh no , it’s a shame it’s going as the £10 a month for the app was great value. Any ideas on next best option to watch elsewhere?

Re: End of BT Sport confusion

Hello Willcutforth, just to let you know that although I was advised that BT Sport has been cancelled last Wednesday it is still live on my Android and FireTV apps. Could you check with BT please.
