So today was the day.
The engineer turned up promptly and we discussed the ideal solution.
He was very positive and saw a way to get the fibre installed which was, across the front of the house low down, along the side, up by the garage door and through the eves into the garage. Along the wall above the joists and then down, through the wall to where I wanted the router to be.
It took about 4 hours but what a very neat job he did. I'm well pleased and of course the broadband was up and running if no time... nice n fast too.
