FTTP may be a good rumour ... but nasty rumours of stopping email are also around (again!).
I hope PN get the combination of FTTP, VOIP, email and price right, otherwise I fear they stand to lose a lot of long-standing customers.

@mavison Email for new customers (and email only accounts) are already stopped, with effect from 27/04/22, IIRC.

This from ISP review on Talk Talk has piqued my interest:
Digital voice (voip services) talk talk to offer three methods to get voice services:
1: through a router with a telephone port
2: via a seperate ATA
3: Via a mobile phone app
Option 2 would allow the easy use of own equipment , however option 3 is intriguing as it will allow landline services to go mobile and combine both into one go anywhere device

True, although the 40/10 and 40/2 fibre products were not network limits, just applied by the ISP as I understand it.
Essential BT needs to differentiate between the various brands and since speed seems to be the thing used generally as an indicator of “quality” in the market, I assume that the Plusnet FTTP product (should there be one) will be made “slower” than the other brands to justify different pricing.
These are the products FTTP PlusNet offer (currently only for existing customers).
Full Fibre 36/10 (40/10 provision)
Full Fibre 74/20 (80/20 provision)
Full fibre 145/30 (160/30 provision)
Full Fibre 300/50 (330/50 provision)
Full Fibre 500/75 (550/75 provision)
Full fibre 900/115 (1000/115 provision)
The capacity "bands" are the products supplied wholesale by OpenReach. The higher the band, the more an ISP pays.

Failed on two accounts. No phone service (hence you loose any existing phone number) and no email. At present for current customers only.
