Help checking whether my IPaddress is static

Hi

I've been with Plusnet for many years and had a static IP address. Ive just changed security systems and the providers asked me to double check that my IPaddress is still static.

I found a link that said "Activate static IPaddress" which I assume means I may no longer have a static Ip address.

That said a static IPaddress is not available as an add on.

Any pointers as to how I can confirm (and if necessary - enable static) gratefully received.

If you have had a static IP address 'for years' - i.e. it hasn't changed, then it will still be a 'static' one.

Static IPs are no longer available to customers who dont already have them.

If you do an nslookup on your IP, if its static it will say either <accountname>.plus.com , <ipaddress>.plus.com or your domain (if you have one and requested the rDNS set). If its dynamic it will say something like <ipaddress>.dyn.plus.net
