Discussions in the VoIP area (oh: sorry, there isn't one yet) have made me consider mobile alternatives, including for broadband itself.
But I really have no idea how much data I do use (and unlimited data costs more than limited from all mobile suppliers I've looked at); I'm a single-person household, and don't download films or stream much (mainly only when I've missed a "live" programme - maybe half an hour a week of each of video and audio), but I do use YouTube a lot.
So - how do I check my data usage, ideally for each of the last few months? (Weeks? Days?)
I did try to be a good boy, and did battle with both the help (or support) system and the chatbot (and the search system here), but of course didn't get anywhere; searching for "amount of data" or variations on that, of course, generated far too many hits to look through.
I'm fairly sure the information is available, I've just forgotten where to look.

It isnt!. Many years ago, It used to be, but now all the products are Unlimited there's no need for it.
If you need to know, then you need to record it locally. The Plusnet hub 2 (and Hub 1 I think?) do show somewhere the amount of data since last reset...

For the Hub two you can see how much data an individual device has used since it was first connected against the when the Hub was booted.
System uptime can be found here http://192.168.1.254/basic_-_status.htm
Look in Home >My device found here http://192.168.1.254/basic_-_my_devices.htm
For each device it will show you uploaded and downloaded amounts
HTH
Edit: The total data sent/received for the period the broadband username has been logged in is found in
Advanced settings >Technical log >Data sent / received:

Pedant mode.
Only if the hub2 is at default config (or a config which has the hub at a .254 address)

As you struggled to find the right place to post this thread, not sure you'd use that properly if it did exist.
If you do desperately want a VoIP forum, there's one over at TBB https://forums.thinkbroadband.com/voip.html

Thanks for that. I seem to have done 9.5 G down, 1.2 up in 9 days, 19+ hours, so would probably need a 40G/month or unlimited contract.
I was really looking for something on the PlusNet website (ideally that shows me usage for the past few months) …

… is that what that gets to? I coulnd't find Advanced settings anywhere on the PlusNet website (which irritates me more every time I visit it!).
But thanks anyway; looks like I use about 1.2G a day.

Advanced settings >Technical log >Data sent / received:
It's found on the Hub Two, about half way down just above the broadband username.
The uploaded/downloaded reading resets to zero on a WAN disconnect, either a PPPoE drop for Fibre/Full Fibre or DSL down for Fibre.

Thanks for that. Showing 1.1G up, 10.4 down, in 10 days 16+ hours, so still about 1.2G/day. (I think one of the earlier answers in this thread got me to the same data, though this way needed the admin password, which I don't think the earlier one [that gave a couple of links] did.)
Is there anything on the PlusNet website that'll show me what I've used for the past few months, rather than just the current session on my Hub2?

@G6JPG-0 dont even think about using mobile broadband for Voip!. Many mobile networks use CGNAT and whilst voip might just work, the jitter and latency on most mobile networks will give rubbish call quality

Your usage pattern seems very similar to mine and my ISP does provide usage stats. I've never exceeded 89.68 GB (upload+download) in any calendar month during the past four years. The previous two years, while I was still working, my highest monthly usage (upload+download) was only 28.8GB.

I wasn't thinking of mobile broadband for VoIP, but as alternative to broadband altogether. (Presumably if I went for more than my present PAYG mobile, I'd get something with X minutes of calls - or, unlimited - via the mobile network anyway.)
At present, no intention of leaving landline broadband or whatever it's called. (I have I think FTTC; don't think I could get FTTP for landlord reasons, but am quite happy with what I have - about 30 speed - anyway.)

Thanks. Mine seems to be about 1.2G (adding up and down) a day, so I'd probably need at least a 40G package. (I presume if you have a limited package and go over, it doesn't cut off, but you pay by the MB.)
Not planning to change - just covering bases.
