I have been with Plusnet since the days of Metronet, and I now have six (count them!) routers. One is in use, one is a spare, but four are just clutter. Can I lob them in the council's small appliance collection area or is there something I should do? If it's relevant, none of them could have my current password on them, as I changed it recently.
TIA, and feel free to point me at an old discussion (can't find one).
Fixed! Go to the fix.

Just dispose of them legally - they hold no identifiable data.

Hiya @StephenJB2, thanks for getting in touch.
You can find further advice on recycling your router here: https://www.plus.net/help/broadband/returns/

I suppose for a bit of additional security you could also reset them. I expect most will have a reset button / pin hole. It would just require a quick power up.
But as said nothing really much on them to worry about.
