Master Socket Needs Replacing

I have just joined Plusnet and my main phone socket needs replacing and relocating but I can't seem to get through to speak to anyone to find out how I go about this.  I am now starting to think Plusnet was a 'mistake' after seeing so many comments about awful customer service!!

Re: MASTER SOCKET NEEDS REPLACING

@JEH Welcome to the forums. Can i ask why the master socket needs replacing? Unless the damage is caused by something inside the socket (BT side) AFAIK there is a £160.00 charge, as there is for a relocation.

Re: MASTER SOCKET NEEDS REPLACING

Hi

The cover on the box where the phone line enters the property is broken in half and the property only has one phone socket which is so far away from any plug sockets, so although it works it could do with replacing and another socket fitted in another room.

Re: MASTER SOCKET NEEDS REPLACING

OK. You would still be liable for the charge to move the socket, which you will need to call Plusnet to arrange, but they (Openreach) would probably replace the (small?) box at the point of entry as part of the same job. Can't confirm, but that is my understanding.
