Reverse DNS change

Hi


I have a static IP, please could I have my reverse DNS changed from <username>.plus.com to the IP number variant?

Hi James,

I have a similar issue?  Apparently, on your plusnet system, the reverse DNS is set to show "our username".plus.net, but if you use the reverse DNS  lookup on DNSChecker.org, it shows something completely different - a previous user of this static IP I believe ...

Having spoken to one of your colleagues this afternoon, we couldn't figure out how to fix this, or how to get your system to propogate the rDNS entry on your systems out into the wider world so that sites like DNSChecker report it.

As I'm trying to set up an email server, it would be good if it passed the "iprev" check from check-auth@verifier.port25.com !

@LTdaemon  Hiya, this seems quite simple to me as a simple check here @ Reverse IP Lookup - MxToolbox shows the incorrect Rdns so we just need to request our internal team to update it, this can be username.plus.net or ip.plus.net or a domain name as long as you have an A record of your static IP setup.
