Why would you want to block a search engine? Surely if you don’t want to use it you delete it from your computer, or has it some features of which I’m not aware?

@Baldrick1 I thought DuckDuckGo was a search engine, not a browser?
@Nottodaythanks I'm interested why you would want to block this site, but don't know why you can't.

Whoops you are quite right. Original post corrected. Maybe the OP likes to have their browsing activity tracked by the likes of Google?

It bypasses security and safety features that are in Chrome an Edge.
Thank you

So why install it or allow it to be installed? I think that what you need is an Application blocker rather than a web site blocker. I don’t know whether safeguard has this capability. Maybe there is a security suite on your computer that will do the job?
As @jab1 has pointed out, DuckDuckGo is a search engine, not a web browser like Edge and Chrome. I don’t know about Edge but I am pretty sure it can be installed in Chrome in place of the bundled Google browser.

Which ones? - FYI it is probably safer than Google, as pointed out by @Baldrick1

If you put, for example, 'DuckDuckGo download for PC' into Google you will find a list of independant sites (I counted 7 on the first page) from which you can download this search engine. I looked no further. Bearing this in mind what do you hope to gain by blocking just the DuckDuckGo IP address?

If it's a specific website that you're trying to block @Nottodaythanks, you should be able to do this on your SafeGuard settings on your Member Centre. I was going to have a look at mine and provide some screenshots but I think the website is having some problems at the minute

What's the specific URL of the site you're typing in to the Safeguard tool to block?
Also, once you've saved the changes, are you turning your router off & on before browsing to the blocked site?

Thanks for getting back to me @Nottodaythanks
Are you using one of our routers or a third party router? If ours, which one is it?
