Simulate internet disconnection

Hello,

I am in the process of configuring a failover of a 4G connection on my home router. Would one of the plusnet team able to simulate a disconnection of plusnet internet if I ring their support department?

Re: Simulate internet disconnection

Can't you just either disconnect the PPPoE connection on the router UI or if that's not possible then physically disconnect the DSl/Ethernet cable ?

@b1ink3r3d  No need to involve Plusnet, just do it yourself, pull out your phoneline connection to the router if on FTTC or the ethernet connection to the ONT if on FTTP.😁

@b1ink3r3d

Couldn't you just 'pull the plug'?

@b1ink3r3d

They might be able to simulate a disconnection for you to test - but there is no guarantee that they will be able to restore it again once you have finished testing!

Much better to just pull a plug out yourself, as others have already said.
