Hi all,
I am a new customer and my connection is all up and running. When I placed my order I also paid for a static IP address (which was confirmed). However, when I go to the "Add Ons" page and look at my Static IP option it says ...
"Current Status : You are currently using a dynamic IP address"
If I click on the "Activate Your Static IP" option it just refreshes the page and it shows the same message as above. I am therefore still on a dynamic IP address.
Can anybody help please?

It needs activating manually by staff - I have requested your post to be moved to a board where staff will pick it up and deal with.

Hi Adam,
Thanks for your help. All ok now. Line up and running and also Static IP is in place.
BUT...
There is one thing though - my router seems to be fixed to a sync speed of 14.999mbps - yet prior to Plusnet I was with BT and it synced fine at 24mbps.
Is there any way this can be bumped up a notch in the 'profile'?
I know for a fact that my line is more than capable AND considering what a rubbish speed I get living rurally - any extra helps. Don't understand why the sync speed has dropped so much.

Our tests are showing that the line is banded so I've requested a reset for you.
Hopefully you should see a increase soon

Thanks Matthew. It reset 8 hours ago and is now just over 24mbps.
Does this mean it is now locked at this speed and it wont be automatically lowered if there's a bit of packet loss at times?
Because I can live with packet loss now and then. The adjustment seemed a little extreme.

Unfortunately, it's not possible for us to lock in the speed as the DLM system at the cabinet will always monitor the line and make changes if it thinks that's best
Hopefully, it stays at the current speed

Hi:
This seems to be happening yet again. We have next to no packet loss on our line but the DLM decides to go and drop our sync speed regardless. We are now down to 13095kbps which is excruciatingly slow and doesn't actually need to be.
Is it actually possible that the DLM is at error and has a hair trigger finger? How can we get this resolved?

Have you checked that there is not actually a fault on your line? It could be that the DLM is actually working correctly.
