Hi,
Hoping a staff member can process a static IP request for me.
Tried through the member portal but as is well documented - this doesn't work.
I opened ticket 239178808 yesterday and was told to wait 24 hours since everything is working normally and the static IP is queued for activation. 24 hours later and nothing has changed. I rebooted my router just now to be 100% certain and am still getting a dynamic IP.
Thanks!

Wow, that was quick!
Static IP assigned but the reverse DNS record shows a different user name. Not the end of the world but do you know if that gets replaced automatically over time?
Thanks for processing the static IP request so quickly.

One more question :-
I see multiple references to a Plusnet managed firewall. Is this active and if so how can I get this disabled?
There is some Plusnet documentation stating to go to connection settings, but there is no firewall link here.
I tried a direct link that has been posted previously of https://www.plus.net/member-centre/broadband/firewall but the page doesn't complete loading.
I have some inbound ports working (443 / 80) etc, but I need UDP 4569 and ideally port 88 (but if I know what ports the firewall isn't blocking then I can move this service to another port)

@greyt1 Different username sounds totally wrong to me, you need Plusnet to look at that and fix it. @willcutforth

New accounts may not have the option for the account firewall as it is no longer available, so for now image it's turned off.
https://www.plus.net/help/broadband/about-plusnets-broadband-firewall/ for details on the firewall

I don't mind posting the full details. The reverse DNS is currently simonchester.plus.com
Not my user ID or my name 🙂

If you have a Plusnet firewall you will find all the controls here :https://www.plus.net/member-centre/broadband/firewall

Hi,
This was the link I posted earlier in the thread. This doesnt appear to work.
It briefly shows a page stating it is loading config (see attached) and then the screen goes blank (just a totally white page).
Tested with Chrome (Windows), Edge (Windows), and Safari (Ipad)

If this is a newish account I would assume that your service does not include the Plusnet firewall. This could be the result of a broken link. Very few people ever used it and I think that the default setting was Off.
This is what the setting options look like:
Hopefully @willcutforth can check/comment?
