Apparently I exceeded my webspace allocation a couple of days ago when I tried upoading a file using FTP.
I can no longer access the webspace to remove the file!
I received this email but I have no idea who to contact:-

Is Plusnet Support now virtually non-existent?
Is the new problem reporting process to post a message on the communitiy forum and hope that someone from Plusnet eventually picks it up and takes some action?
Problem reporting via 'help' text messages seems nonsensical unless you have lost your broadband connection completely.

@briank Web space is a legacy product which few, if any, of the front-line phone agents will have any idea about. It is only the long term members of the Help Team who can help you, so in this case, yes, posing on the Community is the only way. A HT member will pick this up in due course.

Yes - I realise that. The free Webspace is one of the few reasons I still use Plusnet.
Plusnet used to have a really good support service. Sadly this is no longer the case.
Many broadband companies are now offering higher speeds and include VOIP as part of their package for a similar cost.
Plusnet need to up their game if they hope to remain competetive.

Do you get free web space with these other companies? I sincerely doubt it.

Perhaps not, but the legacy Plusnet free webspace allowance is so small (250MB) that it's hardly worth bothering with unless you have just a simple home website. Most people use things like Facebook instead these days. Google gives users 15GB storage for free.

Today I attempted to reinstate the website using FTP to upload all the files back to the now empty htdocs folder.
The system doesn't allow it.
ftp upload appears to be blocked. I get a 'permission denied' response.

I don't seem to be able to reply to the ticket.
The link given took me to this page (the id is missing from the end or the URL):-
https://www.plus.net/wizard/?p=view_question&id=
That page displays the following information:-
====
Help Assistant
There was an error
We were unable to access your ticket information.
====
I had to add the id manually to the URL in the browser address bar thus:-
https://www.plus.net/wizard/?p=view_question&id=235789667
The page displayed contains the following info:-
====
Action Taken/ Advised:
So it looks like files have been archived so please confirm that you're happy for me to request them to be unarchived? You should then be able to upload files again once it's been cleaned up.
Kind regards,
James Freer
====
It gives no information as to where I should send the reply to confirm that I am happy to request the files to be unarchived, so I am doing so via this thread.
The offending file that caused the Webspace allocation to be exceeded is named images/MVI_1224.MOV. Either you can delete it after the files are restored or I can do so via FTP once things are back to normal.
Thanks in advance.

I have just discovered a 'I need To Add More details' button on the 'Help Assistant' page, so I have attempted to use that to give a reply.

@briank If you have now been able to access the ticket, at the left bottom it says something like this (in blue) 'i need to add more detail' - click that text and it will allow you to reply on the ticket - it must be on that ticket to be actioned, as it needs to have your authorisation recorded on the system.

@briank - I've sent of that request now. I can't give a ETA for this request but I'd say it will be back within the week.

Today I looked to see if the files in my Webspace had been restored from the archive.
All I could see was the default index.htm under the htdocs folder.
I then discovered that I now have FTP permissions to upload files.
(permissions were removed after my Webspace allowance was exceeded).
So I was able to restore all the files myself.
There is, however, a problem...
It used to be that the URL to access the website was 'http://www.briank.plus.com/briank/'
I have a bookmark in my browser with the above URL.
This no longer works.
I now get the message:-
===
Not Found
The requested URL was not found on this server.
===
If I use 'http://www.briank.plus.com' instead then it takes me to the website.
It means that the link from my own domain name 'www.briank.co.uk/' no longer connects to my Plusnet Website.
I'm unsure what needs to happen to fix this.
Can a Plusnet admin please advise?

I think I have it sorted - I think I must have placed all the files in a subdirectory under htdocs hamed briank.
I forgot I did that - it's been a few years.
