Re: What to do about getting FTTP

Rather then having to reconnect all devices to the new router, rename the new WiFi SSID to the old one with the same password. Switch off the old router just before confirming the change. All should then connect to the new router. If you are connected via WiFi to the new router, the connection will drop and then reconnect using the old profile.
Was a member for years, but moved from PN fttc to fttp from an AltNet. Getting 940Mb up and down. Happy to stay on here and try to help others. 

Re: What to do about getting FTTP

quick question please - my original line is still live and I get a dialing tone. Does BT/Openreach switch this off at their end or do I just unplug the original FTTC modem?

BT will eventually switch it off, but you should unplug the modem in the mean time, if only to save electricity!

Re: What to do about getting FTTP

Just unplug anything connected to the old master socket - it won't work anyway.
