Re: Why does Plusnet not cater for disabled people????????????????

@jab1, I get the impression that the real issue is that the Fora is the primary support mechanism - where the support is provided by volunteers such as yourself - while Plusnet who are supplying a service for a monthly fee sit back and rely on the forum contributors to do their support work.

The whole support structure is set up to minimise the support effort by Plusnet - even if that is at the expense of providing poor support for some customers who will inevitably leave. Things aren't what they used to be.

I don't blame the actual PN administration, @corringham - it is a BT Consumer Division decision to bring a once effective, admittedly user-led, forum down to the level of that of the BT Broadband equivalent - i.e. totally useless.

@Anonymous

Your request here should be enough … but you still do not seem to have got the help you need … unless the need is to just close your forum access.

@corringham

I have raised those sentiments previously in the SU space. It does seem that the priority is to man the phones … at the expense of creating reusable knowledge here.

Superusers are not staff, but they do have a direct line of communication into the business in order to raise issues, concerns and feedback from the community.

Re: Why does Plusnet not cater for disabled people????????????????

@jab1 I don't take that view. Plusnet is the business that is providing the service and taking the money - they have to be responsible for providing the service and support, even if they are mainly just reselling some other company's services.

Also, I moved a family member from Plusnet to BT's social tariff some months ago - I have found their helplines fast, friendly, and efficient, with regular feedback on progress dealing with issues (they had a line issue a few weeks ago). BT support can even use e-mail.

P.S. I should maybe add I haven't needed to resort to the BT forums, as the BT support staff have dealt with every issue quickly and efficiently.

Re: Why does Plusnet not cater for disabled people????????????????

@corringham They must have improved vastly in the last four five years - I am the family 'tech support' guy and had fun and games - not - on behalf of family members when they were with BTR.

My comment above though was more about their forum 'support'.

EDIT: Anyway, I'm finished with this topic as the OP declined all offers of help.
