Hi just got FTTP installed today.... I have a pair of Asus RT-AX82U routers been previously used for BT FTTC and obviously needed a modem for that connection.. Now I was under the impression that I could just plug the wan ethernet cable from the ONT directly into the way port of my router but doesn't work... Changed the username and password within the Asus router as per Plusnet needs...
So simple question is will my routers work without the Plusnet router or the separate modem I used previously?

Yes that sounds right.... the ONT is now your optical modem and has ethernet connection to the WAN port of the router.
You might have had a VLAN id of 101 set for the FTTC connection, but this isn't needed anymore with the ONT as the ONT handles the VLAN ID.... Double check the the userid and password. It should work.

I'm at a loss the lights on the Asus router say it's connected so does the router.. Checked username and password all correct. Decives connect to it ok but report no internet both wired and wirelessly, so dunno 🤔
I've included some screenshots, see if any spots something I missed..

It sounds like Openreach have done their bit but Plusnet have not yet activated your account on their system. This can take up until midnight on the day that the service goes live.

No sorry I didn't probably put it across right... With their router it works fab using it now... Plan was to ditch that router and replace it with my pair, which are used for AI mesh...

@Intruder71 from your screen dumps , it looks like its connected fine . Its got a public IP allocated so the PPPoE connection must be ok.
However, theres a warning on one of the screenshots that your DHCP server is configured to give a DNS server which is not the router ? Are you using a separate local DNS server such as PiHole ?

Looking at the attached files
The WAN IP address looks to start 91.125. this IP address is a valid plusnet address.
"Enable vpn + dhcp connection" I do not think that needs to be enabled
