Banded at 39999kb sync

Hi, I'm currently on the '36mb average' fibre package as this is the only option currently offered via the portal. The connection appears to be banded at 39999kbs and has been for a while. It's this a limit of the package? Telnet reports an attainable in the 40 to 50 range. The property is old and a number of significant issues including resolving star wiring, replacing interface generating power line adapters with mesh WiFi and matching the modem chipset to the DSLAM to enable g.imp and snr to negotiate between 3-6db have increased what was an 8-12 meg sync to the current. My question is, if 39,999 is not a limit of the package can this please be removed via a dlm reset or some other method? If it is limit of the package,I suspect the 66 avg package is not offered as a possiblity due to the historic performance of the line at the property? Perhaps, if possible on the current package, consistent sync rates at 40mb + over time may make the line eligible for the next package? Thanks for your time.

@nightsky184 Bit of a mouthful 😉, but the easiest way to answer this is - what does BT Broadband  say for your phone number? A screenshot, hiding your phone number, will help others give you some advice.

You are not banded, that is the upper limit of the package you are on.

Thanks for confirming. Odd that there is no upgrade option available if it's hitting the peak of the package. Whether it would be worth it is a different question I guess.

Fix

It is, and from that it is clear you are too far away from the VDSL cab to benefit from the 80/20 package.

Re: Banded at 39999kb sync

As per my previous post, you line is syncing at the max speed for the product, the DSL checker shows you line is not capable of much more, hence you are not offered Fibre Extra - the 66Mbps option.

The one point I did note is the Bridge TAp - this usualy indicates an internal wiring issue. But it does not seem to impact your speeds, but would be good to get it cleared - have you tried the router in the test socket, then compare the before and after sync and attainable speeds?
