Hi Gandalf,
I'm hoping that everything will be fine. I have done a number of speed tests since rebooting the hub, if I use the online BT speed checker I am regularly getting 35mb, if I use either Ookla or network speed test apps , they both show speeds of around 22 - 25 mb, so not sure difference between online and going through an app as to which one is more accurate.
Thank you for your help in this matter I will let things settle down for a few days to see how it plays out, hopefully the bridge tap has now gone.

Ah that's really odd. I normally use thinkbroadband.com/speedtest. What speed does that show?
Also, when you're running a speed test, are all other devices turned off or not connected to the internet, with nothing open in the background on the device you run the test from?
Also, the bridge tap has indeed gone from what I can see. Let me know how it goes though.

Whilst I don't want to count my chickens just yet, I have used think broadband and BT speed tester, both are giving better speeds than I have been having in the past, the average speed now is about 35mb - long may it continue.
Once again, thank you for your help in this matter.
