Broadband has suddenly throttled down to 100 Mbps ( 1 gig service )

Have Full Fibre 900 which has been working great.

Just as soon as I get the "You're coming to the end of your contract" email... the service has suddenly throttled to about 100 Mbps.  Have restarted router to no avail.

Text message FAULT line doesn't work as (obviously) I don't have a land line number, and the service doesn't recognise the mobile number which is on my account.  Not great.

Any obvious tests / checks I can do in terms of checking if there is a known BT fault anywhere nearby?

Last speed test via speedtest.net:

DOWNLOAD: 5 Mbps (!)

UPLOAD: 38.97 Mbps

@Mewcenary The Faults 'BOT' has not yet been fully trained for Full Fibre/SOGEA connections - you will need to call support on 0330 123 9123 tomorrow.

If you speak to Support ask for your "line identifier" number - I think it's called the BBIU

Take a (permanent) note of this as I beileve it can be used in fault finding (but I can't remember where).

From where? and note this will in all probability be mostly FTTC.

I'm seeing a similar drop on my 80/20 FTTC - download speed is about 2 to 3 Mbps although router connects at 70Mbps. Upload tests at the usual 18Mbps.

I'm NW Lancashire.

Something's going astray.

Similar for me - currently getting around 3mbps down and reluctantly up to 110mbps up (sometimes). Something is broken in Plusnet world...

My latency has also shot up to 33ms+ to most places too... 

Started playing up at 6:20pm and now consistently terrible.

FTTP customer on the 900 package.

After reading this thread I ran a couple of speed tests and It seems there's definitely something wrong.  My upload speed (FTTP 160/30) was about right, but download and ping were waaay off the mark.

Same here. latency increased from usual 6ms to 30ms from 5.30pm then 100% packet loss for a while this evening. Now working again, other than steady 30ms latency. I'm an fttc/sogea customer.

Just factory reset my router and everything thinking it couldn't possibly be the FTTP...

Something has clearly gone wrong.

My fttc line syncs at 80Mbps, best speed test has been 18Mbps.  Ping monitor shows big increase in response times around 7.30 this evening and seeing exactly the same thing on 3 other plusnet connections around the same time, both fttc and fttp
