Constant disconnections and speeds slow to just 2-3Mb

Please can anyone tell me how i get a engeneer out to look at my issue.
For almost a year now, ive put up with constant dissconnections:
(Router randomly goes orange, flashes for about 2 mins and goes back blue and connects again)
Also the speeds drop from 25Mb (which is what i pay for) to around 2-3Mb. and the only way to get the speed back it to turn the power to the router off and on again.
The reason ive put up with it is ive work from home and cannot be without a internet connection. I dont want to sort this myself because im worried ill loose what awful connecition i have totally, which cant happen.
My guarentee speed is about 20Mb so im withiin contract to leave, please dont just ask me do do all these tests, as i wont risk the connection i have for my job.
I need a human person to come out and fix it please?

@ngalley I can (kind of) understand your reluctance to carry out the tests - but without them an engineer won't have much idea what he is looking for.
Non-intrusive options are (1) BT Broadband - post the results (as a screenshot), but obscure your phone number. (2) BTW Performance Tester - please complete the Additional Diagnostics and post that result as a screenshot (3) The details from your hubs 'Troubleshooting ' page.
PN staff may get to this question, but sight of that information may help Community members to suggest a way forward.

The easiest way to explain (3) is a picture:
Click the 'Troubleshooting' tab - top right - and then the Helpdesk tab below.

I'm really sorry to see you're having a lot of issues with your connection. I've tested your line today and the tests are showing a wiring issue known as a bridge tap we'd need to arrange an Openreach engineer visit to resolve.
Can you reply to the ticket I've logged on your account Here or the text we've sent with when you'd be free for a visit?
If you can post back once you've responded, I'll make sure we book the engineer as soon as we can.
