I've run Cloudflare's speed tests ad nauseam. A very variable response. But it's better than copper and its cheaper. I will not bore you with the 137 day lead time.
If I were a gamer I'd be up to Leeds with an axe but my gripe is how god awful DNS resolution is for FTTP compared to the old FTTC copper connection. I cannot think of any reason. The Peer DNS servers on Fibre are bad.
So here's the problem.
I go into my Router's firmware to remove the Plusnet dedicated DDNS servers. On PPPoe-out Client and/or DHCP Client and/or DNS settings.
SIMPLES you'd think.
Only it appears I cannot. There appears to be a (permanent) software bridge setting DNS Peering as a default.
I want to set up CloudFlares 1.1.1.1 and 1.0.0.1 as defaults.
Plus, I want to set up Local DNS resolution/cache on my Home Router. ( even faster).
There is absolutely NO WAY that Plusnets DNS Servers would be foisted on the business customers. I cringe at the thought.
What am I missing here ?

@mydogtigga welcome to the forum
Both Fibre (FTTC) and Full Fibre (FTTP) share the same DNS servers, so what exactly is your problem?
A few more details including the Full Fibre speed you are getting against expected, also which router being used would be helpful.

The PPPoE client will always get Plusnets DNS servers.
What you need to to is set the router DHCP server so that it supplies the DNS servers you require (Cloudfare) to clients. That will bypass any uplink DNS servers that the router has.
Plus, I want to set up Local DNS resolution/cache on my Home Router. ( even faster).
If you wish to do that, then you need a router that can override the uplink DNS servers. Openwrt will allow that.
@Dan_the_Van beat me to 'the DNS servers are the same for Fibre'
