Re: Daily p.m. disconnections for multiple ISP's

Any update on this? My fttp is still down since last Friday - keep being told expected repair is 5pm that day but so far no luck!

Re: Daily p.m. disconnections for multiple ISP's

Hi there, just to let you know I received an email today from Toby Perkins (our MP) who says  ,.................

"After I received your email, I reached out to our local full fibre engineering teams. They confirmed that they were in the process of dealing with a complex fault within our full fibre network due a piece of fibre equipment faulting.

The good news is the equipment has now been replaced and we believe service has been restored to those impacted. I hope this comes as good news". ......

We are back online again now although still no word at all from Sky (our current provider, but not for much longer)

Re: Daily p.m. disconnections for multiple ISP's

I hadn't seen this thread, so I had continued posting in my other one https://community.plus.net/t5/Full-Fibre/Outage/td-p/1987349/page/2 will post here from now on. Maybe the systemic issue is fixed, but I'm still offline, over an hour after the 8-1 (no show) slot for a BT engineer that Plusnet booked for me last night, and coming up for 40 hours since I lost connection.

Seems not everyone loses service at the same time, some people were off over the weekend, I wasn't one of them.

Re: Daily p.m. disconnections for multiple ISP's

@Dhj  that's good news, glad that you're back online, I'd escalated this on to our Major Incident Management team as well so hopefully the different people have all had the right effect.

@cinnes2006 I can see your router has reconnected, are you all back online?

@Raxiel I've got a different incident number for your line, while likely related this one was only picked up this morning so could be separate to the one that's just been fixed for @Dhj

Problem Explanation : [ND504] This circuit is affected by MSO. The Incident detail is as follows- Incident ID: IMT116606/24, Start Date 23/10/2024 11:09:56 and Estimated Completion Date: 23/10/2024 17:09:56.

Note, for anyone affected by a total loss of service here, have a read of the autocompensation process here and make sure you've reported it in to us.

Re: Daily p.m. disconnections for multiple ISP's

@dave, thanks, if it is actually fixed by ten past five then that will be good. I'll refrain from contacting CS until after then.

I'm still not thrilled about BTs no-show, just a text confirming they didn't have to attend and I could have gone into the office, although I might be able to get over it if it's actually fixed. I'm not going to hold my breath though.

I’m not at home but I can see my hive and cctv so I think it should all be back up and running. Will let you know for sure when I get in.

Thanks for the update.

Still not working. Is there any way to look up that incident ID for updates?

Re: Daily p.m. disconnections for multiple ISP's

Afraid not, @Raxiel - it appears to be one of OR's areas restricted on a 'need to know' basis - and they decide who 'needs to know'.

@dave
Any updates on Incident ID: IMT116606/24?

I'm not at home because this has forced me into the office again, but it was still off this morning and based on the fact none of my cloud connected things are reachable I assume nothing has changed in my absence.

Re: Daily p.m. disconnections for multiple ISP's

My guess is that work is ongoing but during the night, my connection went down at least twice overnight ~2am and ~5am but possibly more in between.

Re: Daily p.m. disconnections for multiple ISP's

Just passed a solid 59 hours without service for me (for this one outage, 126+ hours since problems started on the 9th).

I asked this in the other thread but I'll repeat it here. BT and EE customers are getting mini-hubs with cellular connections. Does Plusnet have any similar capability? I know the Plusnet mobile customers got pushed to EE (I was one of them)

Re: Daily p.m. disconnections for multiple ISP's

Well so much for that, not even 12 hours and it's failed again.
Edit: Blue light again. As long as it's there in the morning...

The replacement hub that was ordered last Wednesday finally turned up (without any tracking # I assumed it wasn't actually sent). I'm pretty sure the router isn't the problem and was going to just return it unused, but it might be worth a go at this rate.

Re: Daily p.m. disconnections for multiple ISP's

My connection dropped again around 23:00hrs last night. I can put up with disconnections during the night while ever there are none during the day. Not quite the reliability I thought that I was 'buying into' when I moved to FTTP but it's too late now 🙄
