I have a Vigor 130 - took me a while to find a solution - but the issue is the implementation of vectoring is buggy.
Orignally it worked very well.
Then updated firmware (around the time they added vectoring to it). Recurrent disconnections. Getting limited by DLM as a result.
Have further updated firmware - problem still continued. BT checked line etc - no fault.
Have tried the alternate firmware - still problem.
Solution was to turn off vectoring. Telnet into the modem. The issue the commands
vdsl optn g.vector off
vdsl reboot
Then will be solid as a rock. Wait for DLM to improve your profile. Small penalty from not using vectoring - but have accepted it as have not found an alternative modem.

Most FTTC cabinets won't even have vectoring, in which case switching it on or off at your modem shouldn't make any difference.
