Re: Frequent Disconnects

Hi - many thanks for all your comments. I'm afraid I can't respond to the technical stuff (far too complicated for me) but I welcome your comments and I look forward to Plusnet responding!

Re: Frequent Disconnects

Hiya @blandifer,

I am really sorry to hear the issue is still ongoing and for the inconvenience this is causing.

I have run tests on your line and it is not showing any cause for the drops and looks spot on.

I have arranged for a new router to be delivered which will be with you in the next 3 to 5 working days.

Please can you try the new router and get back to me with how the connection performs?

Re: Frequent Disconnects

New router connected Tuesday evening and internet has not gone down since.

I will keep an eye on things for a few more days but it looks like replacement router has sorted it!

Re: Frequent Disconnects

Can you please post the router line stats. The router might not have fixed the issue so much as it is simply better at hanging onto a marginal line.

Re: Frequent Disconnects

Find attached the event log (WAN tab) from the new router since it was switched on on Tuesday - it only runs for about 5 minutes then stops.

I have not noticed any internet disconnects since the new router was installed on Tuesday.

Re: Frequent Disconnects

That’s not what I was asking for … but it nonetheless is helpful.

You appear to be on basic fibre 40/10 not extra - is that correct?

Also though in that short log snap shot there are two xDSL disconnects albeit so swift you might not have noticed them.

@Gandalf what does the radius plot look like please?

Fix

Hi @blandifer

I'm glad to see your new router's working well.

I've just checked your connection (attached a graph below) and things do indeed to be stable now.

If you have any further issues, feel free to get back to us. Smiley

Re: Frequent Disconnects

Odd behaviour - sought to report to mods but it ended up as a post!
