Have you tried temporarily connecting a PC direct to the ONT via your new cat6 Ethernet cable and setting up a PPPoE session with your PN credentials? That would remove the router for the purpose of testing.
Edit: others type faster than me.

So even if there was a speed issue the hardwired connection should be seeing at least that.

@nshezz Can we recap some facts please :-
1) You can get 300Mb down / 100Mb up using wifi , yes ?
2) You only get about 130Mb down / 100Mb up using a wired connection to the PC , yes ?
3) You've confimed a 1Gb link from the router to the ONT.
Are the results for 1) consistent i.e all the time ?

That is correct, 300mb down and 100mb upload via wifi.100-120mb down 100mb upload via wired ethernet and the results are consistant. I need to try the PPPoE method direct from the ONT to PC might take me a while to do i've never done that before.
Thanks.

So as @dvorak says , the wifi speeds would seem to eliminate an external fibre or provisioning problem. If the speeds are consistent then we can probably eliminate any congestion issues as well.
We've already eliminated cables I believe, so that leaves us with the PC network card and the router. I could perhaps see one router LAN port having a problem (although I've never seen it!) but not all three. Have you got any other device with a wired network cabability ?
There's a few hits out there for slow performance of the 2.5Gb Realtek NIC but nothing concrete...

Just connected to ONT directley and here is the speed results. Guess that rules out the router, i have swapped back to motherboards 2.5 gbs port to rule out the PCI NIC and same results.

the link from the ONT is showing 2.5.gbs link speed so i'm wondering if it is a profile issue going to have to phone up and ask to check if not i'll have to cancel shame really thanks everyone for your help.

The ONT might support 2.5GB connection, I would look at the network properties and set to 1GB rather than auto negotiate.

Some of the recent Nokia ONT's will support 2.5Gb. If the LAN port is Yellow its 1G if its Orange it can support 2.5G

TBH it all seems to be pointing at the NIC driver or something else in the network stack throttling the performance

Why do you think it's a profile issue? Your upload speed is correct, your wifi speed is at it's maximum.
Can you get a cheap gigabit USB ethernet adapter or another wired device to test?
It looks more and more like your NIC as @MisterW said.

I asked in message 12 whether you had ever sen faster ethernet speeds with your PC - e.g. copying files to/from another PC across your LAN. I've not noticed an answer, but I do think that is something to check - it would confirm whether or not the NIC hardware is the issue.

@nshezz The ONT speed test result in Msg #23 shows both download and upload to be 94Mbps, this is the maximum speed for a 100Mbps ethernet connection which is quite often caused by using an incorrect or faulty cable with only two pairs connected. You need to check that the cable has all 4 pairs connected.
