Yep, it's that time to ask the question about upgrading to Fibre and whether an upgrade to Hub2 is worth the effort - does it have an active DECT telephone socket to upgrade my phones to VOIP?
I know the BT variant does have a live socket, but has this been neutered in the PlusNet version?
My phones are BT8500 Digital cordless units with a base station to plug into the hub or an adapter (according to forum threads over in BT land these do plug into those hubs). Cheaper and more efficient to use the hub, unless Evil Corp has decided otherwise.
Fixed! Go to the fix.

@bondworld As the Plusnet 'brand' does not offer a VoIP product, the Hub2 has no VoIP capability.

Correct, and in any case, the BT Broadband version only works with 'BT Digital Voice' - no third-party VoIP supplier.

A Fritz box will work with any VOIP service

except the proprietary Digital voice services from the likes of BT , Talktalk , Sky etc since they wont release the settings to enable third-party devices to connect
Superusers are not staff, but they do have a direct line of communication into the business in order to raise issues, concerns and feedback from the community.
