Internet keeps dropping out

New router installed as advised by PN not to use their router. Engineer was out last week and couldn’t understand the problem. Not had this issue in the many years I’ve been with PN.
Internet is dropping out very often, enough to disturb internet usage

@Squeakpip Couple of questions. Why were you 'advised not to use the PN supplied hub'? and by who? What equipment are you using?

Advised by 2 members of the PN team not to use their router.
I have a net gear orbio6, it was working perfect but today no internet at all

Did they give you reason - that, IMO, is not very professional on their part. I'm not familiar with your current equipment, but I assume it has a GUI which gives some details.

I think your best bet is to report a fault at:  faults.plus.net, as without some basic information there is nothing I can usefully suggest, apart from a phone-line check. Dial 17070, option 2 from a preferably corded handset. After the initial confirmation of your phone number, there should be no sound at all on the line apart from the regular 'Quiet Line Test' annoncement - any other noise, report a phone fault first.

Hey @Squeakpip,

I'm sorry to hear that you're experiencing issues with your connection and that another router hasn't fixed the issues. Just to clarify, when exactly did you start using the Netgear router? Was it before these current issues started, or only recently following the advise of an engineer?
