Nope - if the BT infrastructure is there, Plusnet will supply.

PlusNet use the OpenReach network and their Checker. If it shows WBC FTTP in the left hand column and Available to the right you then PN will supply FTTP.
Until very recently they only supplied exisiting customers but now it's open to new customers.
If the website isn't working then call the PlusNet Customer Options Team on 0800 013 2632

Fibre will already be connected to the house so I assume plug in the router and go.

An Ethernet cable is used to connect the ONT and the router. As it's ethernet you have a choice as to the location of the router so long as you're happy to run cable.

Do Openreach install an ONT automatically for new builds then ?

I suspect it'll be up to the developer and / or whether any Altnets are active in the area.
Once the developer has made their choice then I suspect ONT's are installed automatically by whoever as not only would it be more efficient doing several at a time it's also far less hassle for the developer when dealing with the new owners.

Since when have OR ever thought about being efficient !!! ( sorry, couldn't resist it )
ONT? Optical Network Termination. It's a little box about the same size as a traditional Master socket, which goes inside the house, on a wall, and is connected to the external Fibre. It has an ethernet socket to which your router is connected using a standard ( Cat5e or above ) cable

You can see a picture here - although it may be a different model the size will be approximately the same.
Look at the location of the ONT for planning connections around the house.

While I understand the sentiments I suspect the install will just be a continutation of the process for a copper install (and other utilities).
The developer will give the companies a build schedule and notification each time a batch of house is ready for them.

I love PlusNet (PN), was with you for years, and I'm currently with BT on £29.99pm FTTP 100 (capped up to 150mbps down and 30mbps up).
However, the PN FTTP offer is a bit weak, when you look around at say Community Fibre at £25pm (two years fixed) for 1,000mbps (1GB) up AND down!

Grumble, I'm having to pay an exit fee for staying with PlusNet just because I'm moving to FF.

@probedb Ignore all the threatening communications - PN have (as fairly usual) messed up the system - you do not get charged ETCs - there are a couple of threads somewhere explaining this.

It wasn't threatening, just saying sorry you're leaving and moving to a new provider, with a we've worked out your exit fees are £55. Also had an SMS saying sorry you're leaving.
