Re: Latest on FTTP?

@NaRyan

One way to be certain. Login to your Members portal and then select Upgrade

If you're offered FTTP then you can place the order.

Re: Latest on FTTP?

@bmc  Read message #250, the first post by @NaRyan No upgrade available. I think Plusnet are using the phone number which doesn't show FTTP and/or the wrong address which doesn't have the Flat number also showing no FTTP.  Need an ORDI raised to correct the records.

Re: Latest on FTTP?

@RealAleMadrid

The first of the two images posted in #256 clearly shows PN offering FTTP. There may be confusion over addresses but the one way to be sure is for @NaRyan to login into his account and check for upgrades. If offered they can place an order.

Re: Latest on FTTP?

@bmc  Just repeating myself here. Read Message #250 ...The following text from @NaRyan

"If I look at my account I do not see any upgrade option, yet if I check my post code\address on Plusnet site it says I can get the 500 package."

FTTP is offered presumably for a new customer using the correct address which is not what Plusnet have on the account.

Re: Latest on FTTP?

Nopes no upgrade option, just a "Keep This Product" choice for Broadband options.

Re: Latest on FTTP?

Have you tried phoning up? I know it’s old tech but that’s what I did during the soft launch. Had it all up and running in a couple of weeks.

Re: Latest on FTTP?

*Ran out of edit time*

Was downstairs waiting for a delivery, and there was a few Openreach vans in the street.

So seen an Openreach peep, and had a talk with him.

He confirmed that yes FTTP is 100% available.

And that the issue I am having is due to my ISP having the building address rather than Flat No. + Building address.

As the Openreach system will not see the building address as having FTTP or even a phone line, since it has multiple flats so they are classed as multiple separate properties (even if they are in the same building), so only Flat No. Building address is updated.

@NaRyan

OK, I bypassed the bit where you previously said no upgrade option shown. Sorry about that.

Either you need to phone in and see what they say or wait until a staff member picks up on this to get your address sorted. The wizard @Gandalf is not in until next week I seem to recall.

Re: Latest on FTTP?

@bmc It's ok. Everyone does that at times.

I did make a post in the "My Account/Billing" area asking about my address getting updated on Friday, but it seems like Plusnet are on a ignore all Forum posts mission as of late.

They should be glad I am in a 18 month contract, as ignoring customers is #1 thing that makes me leave and go elsewhere.

And no I am not going to phone them, Some people do have "issues" talking to strangers on a phone...

Re: Latest on FTTP?

@NaRyan

It's a bank holiday weekend so that probably doesn't help.

It does appear to be 3 or 4 days before you get a staff response on the Forum so they'll get to you eventually.

Hi @NaRyan, I'm really sorry for the problems you're having here!

I have created a ticket here: https://www.plus.net/wizard/?p=view_question&id=227209535

Can you please confirm the correct address details on there and if you give us a nudge on here once done, we can get that picked up and sorted for you.

Re: Latest on FTTP?

@LaurenB I have replied to the ticket, and added the small but seemingly very important part of my address that is missing.

Re: Latest on FTTP?

Hi @NaRyan

We raised this to the OpenReach Data Integrity (ORDI) robot and unfortunately it hasn't been able to automatically update your address. I suspect this is because your address with the flat number doesn't show up in Royal Mail's Postcode Address File (PAF) here https://www.royalmail.com/find-a-postcode

I'd recommend you updating your address with Royal Mail by filling out the form Here.

In the meantime, I've passed this to our suppliers network addressing team if there's anything else they're able to suggest so you can place an FTTP order sooner.

We'll let you know once we've heard back.

From 31st October 2022, I no longer have a regular presence here as I’ve moved on to a new role.

Re: Latest on FTTP?

@Gandalf

I have done the Royal Mail thing, so just need to wait the "3 Working Days" for them to hopefully sort it out.

Although it did make me laugh, with Royal Mail's address\post code checker not having the correct number of flats, so being 1 short.

Most places list 1 extra flat, and that flat has never existed in this building.
