Not reconnecting after power cut

We experience a powercut on Sunday at approx 5pm. Power was off for 29hrs, being restored at approx 2140 today (Monday). The internet connection has not re-established. Logging into the router I see it trying to reconnect, but it never succeeds. Does it need a tweak at the plusnet end of things?

@JPN 

 Try a factory reset on the hub by pushing a paperclip or similar in to the reset hole. Keep the switch closed for about 30 seconds. It will take several minutes to reconnect.

Not quite sure what you mean by hub? There is an openreach fibre modem and a separate tplink router.

Still no connection this morning. I have tried disconnecting, then rebooting each device, and re-entering the login details for the connection, but no luck so far.

Hiya @JPN, thanks for getting in touch. I'm really sorry that you experienced a power cut and that you now have now broadband.

 

I have tested the the and this is detecting an outage in the area with a current estimated fix time of 7:42am tomorrow. I'm truly sorry for the disruption caused in the meantime and have updated the fault ticket so our faults team can check back on this for you.

Thank you for the update its useful to know that its not specific to me, and a guide to a possible time to resolve is very helpful. (An estimate of '07:42 seems awfully precise though! Smiley ). I imagine its all due to the stormy conditions over the last few days up here. Thanks for the update.

Thanks for getting back to me... I thought that also with the precise time but we do commonly see that Cheesy

 

I am sorry for the problems this causes. I would say it is very likely down to this awful weather we have been having, seems to be playing havoc!

I'm pleased to say that the connection has been restored, not at 07:42 tomorrow, but some time before 22:03 this evening.  Thanks all for the comments in assistance, and lets hope that all others affected by the weather last weekend have their power and utilities restored in good time.
