Orange flashing light, red broadband light

Came home from work today to our router with an orange flashing light on and red broadband light. It was working perfectly fine this morning. Checked everything connected. Reset & restarted a few times.
Turned on and off. It’s already plugged into master socket. We don’t have a phone to check line.

Someone help 😫

Online chat have logged a fault for me but this takes upto 3days?

Re: Orange flashing light, red broadband light

This sounds like a network fault that only Openreach can fix. Consequently I fear you're going to have to sit it out until the reported problem is fixed.

Re: Orange flashing light, red broadband light

Hi there.

I'm sorry to hear you're experiencing connection problems.

Our tests aren't finding the cause of the problem so I'd recommend running through the checks here to rule out any potential issues with your internal wiring then raise a fault to us at http://faults.plus.net as we may need to arrange an engineer visit.

From 31st October 2022, I no longer have a regular presence here as I’ve moved on to a new role.

Re: Orange flashing light, red broadband light

Hi,

I have already been on online chat and then a member of your staff called me, she said she would raise a fault for me but can’t see anything on open questions? This was 2 days and haven’t heard anything.

Re: Orange flashing light, red broadband light

Sorry to hear it's still not working.

Our tests are showing that the issue may be internal.

Can you confirm you have the router connected to the master phone socket?

Can you also send us a photo of how you have things connected?

After the 3rd of November I will have a limited presence here as I have moved to a new role

Re: Orange flashing light, red broadband light

Hiya.

Ive spoken to [CSA Removed] on live chat few days and hes sent us out a new router which has arrived today. Going to connect it up tonight and see if that solves it.

Thanks

Moderator's note by Mike (Mav): CSA name(s) removed (to an area staff can see) as per Forum rules.

Re: Orange flashing light, red broadband light

Glad to hear it's working but not that the speeds have dropped.

Our tests aren't showing any cause for this so I'd recommend raising a fault here

Re: Orange flashing light, red broadband light

Cant log a fault until weekend because it says to test speeds in the day Sad

Don’t understand whats wrong now if our router is working properly. Are we still on
Fibre broadband? Have seen other people on here getting their speed bumped up again guess you can’t do that with ours!?

Re: Orange flashing light, red broadband light

From what we can see the speeds have now increased?

Are you able to test the speeds today?
