Ports not staying open

So my Hub two router opens ports automaticly, but after sometime (i say sometime because it ranges from a few days to weeks) the port closes and only way to get it open again is to reboot the router

Any ideas?

A bit more information would be useful, e.g. what ports and application and how do you know they're closed?

utorrent port 33012 & ace player port 8621.

I check them with canyouseeme.

fwiw, if you find uPnP is unreliable, consider setting up manual port forward rule on the hub. 

fyi, I believe BT branded Home and Smart hubs perform an 'auto-reboot' every 14 days to help improve stability of the hub.   Plusnet hubs don't auto-reboot.

Hi bill888 that sounds like upnp is my problem.

i found the upnp setting, do i just turn that off?

yes you can turn off upnp on the hub 2.

Also check whether the apps have a upnp setting too.

you will still need to set up port forward rules on the hub 2.

ports manually setup with upnp off, just got to wait a few weeks now and see if ports stay open
