Regular drop outs

Im getting regular drop outs from my internet connection.

I dial into my PC on a regular basis and this is causing massive headaches as I have to drive home to restart my router and then head back to the office.

Last Thursday, Friday and the same again today....all at around the same time.

Anyone able to assist.

Re: Regular drop outs

@bm75 Welcome to the forums. This sounds like you are losing connection with the internet, for some reason. Which Hub are you using (if you are using PN supplied equipment)?

Re: Regular drop outs

As i haven't seen or used either of those - how long have you had the Hub, and what identification is on the label? I ask, because I would like to see some data from it, and navigation is a little different between the two.

Re: Regular drop outs

I’ve had it for just over a year, it’s a Sagemcom one

What do you need from the back of it?

Re: Regular drop outs

I'm assuming in that case it is a Hub1. I don't need information from the back of it, I need the WAN tab information from the Event log.

Re: Regular drop outs

Hey @bm75, thanks a lot for getting in touch and I'm really sorry to hear that you're having issues with your connection at the moment. Testing the line on our end this afternoon hasn't found any faults to be honest, so I'm a little puzzled as to why this is happening.

The static IP on the account has remained constant, and the only drops I can see, as per the visual radius below appear to be when you're restarting your router.

When you say you're dialing into your PC, what software are you using? Could it be possible that the source of the issue lies there?

Is the device you're connecting to wired on or WiFi?

Re: Regular drop outs

Thanks for getting back to us @bm75, have you contacted Google to see if there's any troubleshooting on their end? A radius on our end isn't showing any disconnections at all today.

Re: Regular drop outs

which router are you using? If it responds to ping requests you could try creating a monitor to see if there's any co-incidental issues. see https://www.thinkbroadband.com/broadband/monitoring/quality
