Further to what @jab1 said above, I've found that cables I've ordered from the Amazon Basics range are decent enough quality and pretty reliable, although I can't remember if I've bought any Ethernet cables from them.

Yes I’ve had cable from them also and I’ve never had an issue. Even from this market place supplier. Guess I just got a bad one !!

@PeterStocks It can happen - I bought an Anker (one of the best suppliers) from Amazon and it just wouldn't work. I must have at least 10 Anker cables/power banks and they are faultless - this one wasn't! 😉
