Slow page loading

Hi,
I recently switched from copper to Fast Fibre 74. I'm getting consistent speed of 74mbps over WiFi but web pages aren't loading any faster, in fact I sometimes get the dreaded spinner waiting for a page to load. Are there any settings I need to tweak to improve this? I'm in a very rural setting, only one other house nearby so little channel clash likely I think. Any help appreciated. Thanks! P

Re: Slow page loading

Hey there @Prologica

Thanks for raising this. Can you let me know if this is happening on all devices?

Re: Slow page loading

Hi @willcutforth, yes it's on all devices. During the day, we are mostly using a Google mini-hub for streaming radio and maybe browsing on two devices. In the evening we are watching TV via Firestick and browsing on two devices, all over WiFi. There's often a WiFi printer and a Mycloud server on standby in the background.
Thanks

Re: Slow page loading

Just to add that the only benefit we've found so far is that catch up TV very very rarely buffers and that's over WiFi too.

Re: Slow page loading

@Prologica

There's a possibility that your slow page loading is due to a slow DNS being used.

Even though I've a new Hub2 sitting somewhere in its sealed box, I've no idea how, or indeed if, you can change the DNS it uses.

See -

and Mr. Google for more info.
